SBI Clerk 2026: Photograph Upload Guidelines
The photograph uploaded in the SBI Clerk application form must be recent, clear and meet the prescribed specifications to ensure successful verification during the recruitment process.
👉 Upload a recent passport-size colour photograph taken against a light-coloured background (preferably white). Look directly at the camera with a natural expression.
👉 Ensure the photo is clear and properly lit. Avoid shadows, red-eye effects, reflections on glasses, and squinting due to sunlight.
👉 Caps, hats and dark sunglasses are not allowed. Religious headwear is permitted provided the entire face is clearly visible.
👉 The preferred image dimensions are 200 × 230 pixels, (4.5cm * 3.5 cm)and the file size must be between 20 KB and 50 KB. The photograph should be clearly visible and not exceed the prescribed size limit.
Live Photograph Capture
During the SBI Clerk application process, candidates may be required to capture a live photograph using their device's camera. The image should be clear, well-lit and taken as per the instructions displayed on the screen to ensure successful verification.
👉 Candidates can select the "Capture Photo" option to use their webcam. The captured image will be uploaded automatically to the application form.
👉 Alternatively, candidates can select "Click here to Scan", scan the displayed QR code using a mobile phone and capture a live photograph, which will then be uploaded automatically.
👉 Ensure the photograph is taken against a light-coloured, preferably white background, with sufficient lighting and while looking directly at the camera.
👉 Do not upload a small, unclear photograph or wear sunglasses, coloured glasses, caps or hats while capturing the image. The face should be clearly visible for verification purposes.
Signature Upload Guidelines
Candidates must upload their signature in the SBI Clerk application form as per the prescribed specifications. The signature should be clear, properly scanned and consistent with the one used on official documents.
👉 The applicant must sign on white paper using a black ink pen. The signature should be clear and match the one used during all stages of the recruitment process.
👉 The preferred signature dimensions are 140 × 60 pixels, and the file size should be between 10 KB and 20 KB.
👉 Ensure that the scanned signature image is clearly visible and does not exceed 20 KB in size.
👉 The signature uploaded in the application form must match the signature made on the attendance sheet and call letter during the examination. Any mismatch may lead to disqualification.
👉 Signatures written in Capital Letters will not be accepted.
Thumb Impression Upload Guidelines
Candidates are required to upload a clear scanned image of their left thumb impression while filling out the SBI Clerk application form. It must be uploaded according to the prescribed specifications.
👉 The applicant must place their left thumb impression on white paper using black or blue ink.
👉 The thumb impression image should be uploaded in JPG/JPEG format.
👉 The preferred dimensions are 240 × 240 pixels at 200 DPI, equivalent to approximately 3 cm × 3 cm (Width × Height).
👉 The file size should be between 20 KB and 50 KB to ensure a successful upload and proper image quality.
👉 Ensure that the thumb impression is clear, properly scanned and easily visible for verification purposes.
Hand-Written Declaration Guidelines
Candidates must upload a handwritten declaration in their own handwriting while completing the SBI Clerk application form. The declaration is used to verify the authenticity of the information provided by the applicant.
The text for the hand-written declaration is as follows:
“I,______(Name of the candidate), Date of Birth ______, hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required. The signature, photograph and left thumb impression is of mine”
👉 The applicant must write the declaration in English, clearly on white paper using a black ink pen.
👉 The declaration should be scanned and uploaded in JPG/JPEG format.
👉 The preferred dimensions are 800 × 400 pixels at 200 DPI, which is approximately 10 cm × 5 cm (Width × Height).
👉 The file size should be between 50 KB and 100 KB.
👉 Ensure that the declaration is clearly legible and properly scanned before uploading.
👉 Handwritten declarations written entirely in Capital Letters will not be accepted.
